I can dance like that - honest I can - great moves from ruff-1
Woah - Just came across Meggs - “Initially recognised for his black & white and multicoloured stencils depicting playful references to angels and devils, Meggs has evolved his skills in painting, illustration and screen printing to further explore notions of good and evil in his street based characters and more conceptual and multi-layered gallery work.”
Check out his website and his flickr stream - pure genius!

I took the BMX in to work today as part of my new year plan (to have more fun). It was, as expected harder than the leisure bike I normally ride but, as part of the plan, more fun. It will also help burn off some of that Christmas weight gain… and if I learn a few tricks, or at least manage to hop the kerb every now and again, I’ll be pleased. I got my edition of Oh Really Mag (issue 4) yesterday… hard to believe that the postie was working on New Years day, but someone posted it through our letter box and it was a great surprise, an oman almost for the coming year… It’s a great publication and for a few bucks I will be getting issue 5 when they publish it!
I’ve uploaded some of my past and recent illustration work to Flickr I will use flickr as a repository for my artwork and doodles I think from here on in, I have started to loose track of where it all is - go take a look!
It’s here! the New Year is finally upon us, bringing with it a load of new opportunities and possibilities. Although it’s 6am, I have a hang-over and I’m up with my demanding, yet lovely kids… I’m optimistic about the next three hundred and sixty five days and beyond. I have no New Years resolutions as such except to enjoy the coming year - I hope you all do too.
To start as I mean to go on, here’s some sketches I did yesterday…

We’re fast approaching the final moments of 2008 and to be honest I’m not the least bit sorry to be leaving it behind. It was a bit of a stinker. As a family we have had a good Holiday. It’s been great to spend time with Jenny and the kids- I have a good feeling about 2009… I’ve had a burst of creative inspiration and motivation over the Christmas period which I think is mainly due to being away from the office and all the politics and negative repetition that can bring. Starting very soon into the new year you’ll see the start, and hopefully the fruits of this motivation begin to bloom/ripen… you know what I mean. I have plans, not huge plans, I don’t intend to take over the world, but I do intend to keep good my promises of last year and to paint, sketch and anything else that my creative mind wants me to do. I have found new inspirations and like-minded people who support my efforts - some of which can be seen in the growing number of links on this site. Roll on 2009!

Not finished this one yet but I’m pleased with the amount of doodling I’m getting through at the moment. I will hopefully get some time to start painting these ideas once I’m churning out a steady flow of work.
It’s from a twitter conversation I had with a fellow artist about pigeons in Chester…

I read this story about Amazon’s sickness policy in horror - how can a company that it so huge be so cruel to it’s employees.
Don’t buy from amazon - goto Play.com instead, or better still, support your local stores!
